Erowa' preset station and tooling systems speeds product to market

The addition of the 3D preset station will allow Cheviot to set the work off-line and palletise the work, for the recently acquired Ingersoll 500 die sinker, Charmilles Roboform 55P and robotised Roboform 35 QCRi die sinker
Operating from 17,000sq.ft of modern premises, Cheviot offers the complete one stop injection mould tool shop to meet the needs of today's project engineers and buyers. The Erowa PreSet Comfort 3D set-up and presetting station satisfies the highest demands and is compatible with all Erowa's tooling systems. Where thousandths of millimetres are involved, you mustn't do things by half, but you can turn eight potential hours into eight productive hours.
In technical terms, PreSet Comfort 3D is convincing: base plate, traverse glide and quill have been crafted from natural hard rock with great precision, and they guarantee optimal geometrical accuracy. User-guidance is equipped with a fully developed, graphically guided presetting software.
Electrode manufacture begins in the milling cell. Cheviots have added a Bostomatic High Speed Milling centre and a Mikron High Speed Vertical Machining centre to its milling capacity, which includes Hurco and Bridgeport machining centres, increasing the company's ability to produce electrodes on Erowa ITS tooling to feed the expanding EDM Cell
